MonaRonaDona is the latest scamware ravaging the internet. MonaRonaDona is a virus that will disable your system software including Windows task manager, serve relentless popups and redirects, modify your IE header with the words MonaRonaDona, and will finally try to get you to install UniGray fake virus scanner software that offers to clean your system of infections. This of course is a scam, do not download or pay for a UniGray license or any other files associated with MonaRonaDona!
Other symptoms include messages that read:
“Hi, My name is MonaRonaDona. I am a Virus & I am here to Wreck Your PC. If you observe strange behavior with your PC, like programs windows disappearing etc, it’s me who is doing all this. I was created as a protest against the Human Rights Violation being observed throughout the world & the very purpose of my existence is to remind & stress the world to respect humanity.”
MonaRonaDona also closes file applications like MS word, communicator, and other email apps and messaging program. Left untreated, MonaRonaDona will corrupt system files and slow down your PC performance to an eventual hault. Click the link below for a free system scan for MonaRonaDona.
UPDATE 3/7: Articles released this week through associated press quote Kapersky Labs and other software makers as stating that anonymous blog articles and even a Youtube video express the effectiveness of using the Unigray remover software as being effective in removing MonaRonaDona. Reports are mixed on its effectiveness but one thing is for sure, its still a scam and is not an effective removal tool and system protection software.
