One of the symptoms of the Stfngdvw Toolbar is the hi-jacking of the users desktop or wallpaper. The desktop wallpaper is replaced with a red image of a nuclear hazard symbol and the words “YOUR PRIVACY IS IN DANGER“. Of course “YOUR PRIVACY IS IN DANGER” hi-jacker’s purpose is to get users to purchase a rogue application. An infected machine will also see numerous pop ups advertising more rogue programs.
