The Zlob group responsible for a great deal of all malicious Spyware on the net today has lately been using an old trick. Many users are reporting viruses or infections containing link redirects to dnserror(dot)org, dns4error(dot)com, myshovel.com, and/or 206.161.121.115. These are the only urls we can confirm at this point.
How Do I Remove Confidentsurf?
This is another tough one folks. Confidentsurf is yet another fake spyware removal program that infects one’s PC via trojan or other browser related security loopholes. Once infected by Confidentsurf, the progam can record keystrokes on your PC which can compromise your personal identity and security. Targeted third party ads may start to arrive on your PC that are specific to recent searches or files you may have typed.
The Safenavweb Virus
The Safenavweb Virus is another nasty hijacker infection that installs on your PC through Activx objects on various sites. Once infected the most obvious symptom is the change in your desktop wallpaper - a large biohazard sign. Other symptoms interrupt the user with pop ups stating “Sombody’s trying to infect your PC” and “Trojan.W32.Looksky detected on your machine” allowing the user to only select Yes or No to close out the interruption often leading to popup sites that load through internet explorer. The Safenavweb Virus will present an exclamation point symbol in your system tray as well which will occasionally pop a curiously standard looking Windows XP alert stating that the system has detected virus activities and to use ‘recomended’ antispyware software to protect your system. And yes, the Safenavweb Virus spells ‘recomended’ incorrectly. Read more

A fake codec named Media codec_iw & Video decoder distributes Trojan.Zlob-X.A. This virus is very serious and should be only removed by a professional remover tool. Read more
The Bbrsep Toolbar
These new toolbars are coming out once a day now. The Bbrsep Toolbar is the latest. The Bbrsep Toolbar is the exact same toolbar as The Bonsws Toolbar. See my previous write up below for a description of The Bbrsep Toolbar. Another common symptom of this infection is a thin yellow bar that apends itself to the top of the search results page. The message: “Warning: possible spyware or adware infection! Click here to scan your computer for spyware and adware…”
Another day, another new rogue toolbar. The latest is named The Bonsws Toolbar. Same story with The Bonsws Toolbar as all the other previous ones. The toolbar displays fakes alerts, warnings and links to rogue anti-spyware products. Previous clones of The Bonsws Toolbar include, The Bonrep, The Sdrmod, The Nssfrch and The Optnet. Read more
